NEPA Pagan Pride

NEPA Pagan Pride brings Pagans, Pagan-adjacent communities, friends, families, and curious neighbors together in Northeastern Pennsylvania for a public day of community, education, celebration, and visibility.

Our History

NEPA Pagan Pride grew from a desire to create a visible, welcoming public space for Pagan and Earth-centered communities in Northeastern Pennsylvania. Organized by Wyoming Valley CUUPS, the festival was created as a place where people could gather openly, share their traditions, learn from one another, and build connections across a wide range of spiritual paths.
From the beginning, NEPA Pagan Pride has brought together Pagans, Pagan-adjacent communities, local organizations, vendors, presenters, entertainers, volunteers, and curious members of the public. Over time, it has continued to grow as both a celebration and a community gathering rooted in education, inclusion, visibility, and connection.
Wyoming Valley CUUPS remains the primary organizer of NEPA Pagan Pride, working each year with volunteers, participants, community partners, and local organizations to make the festival possible and to continue building a space where many paths can come together as one community.

How We Fund NEPA Pagan Pride

NEPA Pagan Pride is completely community-funded. Our primary fundraiser is the Court of the Fae Masquerade Ball, held every year on the second Friday in April. Ticket sales and raffles from the Masquerade provide most of the funding for NEPA Pagan Pride, along with generous donations from members of our community. We are also currently exploring sponsorship opportunities with local businesses and organizations to help provide additional support.
Many festivals and events charge vendors additional fees to participate. NEPA Pagan Pride does not. Vendors in our Vendor Village are charged only the minimum amount required by the City of Wilkes-Barre to cover their vendor permit. Keeping vendor costs low helps us maintain a large and varied Vendor Village, makes it possible for small local businesses and artisans to participate, and encourages vendors to return year after year.
Food donations are completely separate from festival funding. None of the food collected at the gate is used to support NEPA Pagan Pride. All food donations go directly to the Bread Basket of NEPA.

The Bigger Picture

What Are Pagan Pride Events For?

Pagan Pride events create public spaces where Pagan traditions can be visible, understood, and celebrated. They give Pagan communities a place to meet one another, help the wider public learn about Pagan and Earth-centered spiritual paths, support charitable work, and strengthen local community connections.
The broader Pagan Pride movement describes its work through four closely connected ideas: education, activism, charity, and community. Individual local events have their own character, but they share the goal of making Pagan people and traditions more visible while creating opportunities for learning, service, fellowship, and celebration.
